Finzo (“Finzo”, “we”, “us”) is a personal-finance app that helps you track your income, spending, subscriptions, savings goals, investments and debts. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the choices and rights you have.
It applies to the Finzo mobile app on iOS and Android. By using Finzo you acknowledge the practices described here.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your photo library (only the one photo you deliberately choose), or your online-banking credentials — Finzo never asks for bank logins. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising.
We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (to run the app and your subscription); your consent (for optional features such as AI insights and push notifications, which you can withdraw at any time); our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service); and compliance with our legal obligations.
The AI advisor and personalized lessons are powered by Anthropic (the “Claude” models), called over the Anthropic Messages API. These features only run when you open them. When you do, the following is sent to Anthropic:
Your name, email address, account identifier, profile photo and payment details are not sent to Anthropic. This data is used only to generate your answer or lessons and, per Anthropic’s terms, is not used to train their models. If you prefer not to share it, simply don’t use the AI features.
The Invest screen shows live market prices from CoinGecko (crypto) and Finnhub (stocks). These are public, non-personal market quotes: the app requests prices for the symbols shown, and we do not send these providers your name, email, account identifier or your financial records.
On your device, sensitive data is kept in the platform’s encrypted storage. When you are signed in, your data is also stored in our Supabase cloud database so it’s available across your devices, protected by per-user access rules so that only your account can read your records.
All traffic between the app and our providers — Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, the app stores and the market-data providers — travels over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Within the app, screenshots and screen recording of financial screens are blocked to protect your information. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We share data only with the providers needed to run Finzo, each acting under its own privacy terms and only as necessary:
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Beyond the providers above, we may disclose data if required by law or a valid legal request, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition or asset sale — in which case we will notify you and any successor will remain bound by this policy.
Our providers may process your data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can remove your data at any time from Settings → Clear all data, which erases your local records and the cloud copy. To delete your account itself, see Account deletion; we then delete your data from our active systems, with backups purged on a rolling schedule. We may retain limited records where the law requires it (for example, purchase records held by the app stores).
You can access, correct and delete most of your data directly in the app. Depending on where you live, you also have the right to request:
EEA/UK residents may lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” of personal information (we do not sell it) and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
To make a request, email contact@codensoft.dev from the address on your account; we may need to verify your identity first, and we respond within 30 days.
Finzo is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, highlight them in the app. Continuing to use Finzo after an update means you accept the revised policy.
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact Codensoft at contact@codensoft.dev. The legal entity responsible for your data (the data controller) and, where applicable, our EU/UK representative are available on request.
